RETRO POST!!!(part 1)
As promised, I bring you often referenced, but never delivered (until now) retro post! Here's the kicker: This is only PART 1! Specifically, this covers from early June until, let's say, last weekend. It's pretty comprehensive in terms of what photos I took (there 134 of them today). I'm actually excited to get these up here, as I know that there are at least 2 people who may read this because they've not seen any of the photos that I put up on the ol' facebook. Actually, I'm thinking about reinstating my previous day or so buffer for photos, where the blog gets them first, and then facebook has sloppy seconds.
So, here it goes!
In June, after Danielle and I got back from Florida (pics will be up sometime soon), I threw a party of sorts. I had the usual crew there, as well as Megan and Scott from work, Gordon and his girlfriend Sam, and Ian Clark. It was loads of fun (from what I can remember), and everyone had a good time. I remember we busted out Rockband for a bit, but it was WAY too loud/stompy, so we had to call it quits. Here are the pics (They start with some shots of Chuck playing the Tribecca).
I love this one for some reason, I think it just looks silly. If I was any good at photoshop I'd somehow expand her arm across the whole room.
Allllllllllllllllllllllllllright.
The next set of photos is from Chuck's CD release show at the Marquee. If you didn't get my subtle hint, and/or haven't checked out his music, check out his Myspace, or get the CD (and you should, it's awesome) here. [/plug]
Now, for some random foolish pictures.
Fuck this is a long post.
So the next set I have is from when we went to Danielle's cottage for a night in July. We went to the beach and had some beers, then came back and had some more beers, made supper and had beer, and then kept drinking beer. We had a feast of a supper, with Steve making burgers, Chuck doing up a saute job on supporting food, Sean brought kebab stuff, and Alice did assembly work. Danielle helped me out with the corn salad I made, and I manned the grill with some chicken. Anyway, I was glad we went out, because it was really relaxing to not have to worry about anything/have anything to connect us to the outside world (except for cell phones). Here are the photos.
I have to explain these next ones... Chuck took my camera and was taking surprise pictures of everyone. It was pretty funny, as he got some pretty funny shots...
My God this is taking a long time. Oh well, I must go on.
The next set is from Porty's (Jen, Danielle's cousin) 19th birthday outing. I chose to remain sober that evening (I had a massive headache all day), but we had a lot of fun. First, we went to see Chuck play at the seahorse (after nearly being killed by a crazy bitch who ran a red light. I'm glad I was paying attention), then we met up with Porty, Josh (her brother), Tara (his girlfriend), and a few other of Porty's friends. Josh was fucking hammered, there's no doubt about that, so he provided much of the entertainment for the evening. At one point he asked Danielle if she wanted a drink, she said she was fine, and he said "I'm buying you a drink, or I'll spin-kick you to the head" and then left. He came back 5 minutes later with no drinks/recollection of the previous conversation. Photos? Why yes, I have them.
WOO SOUL CALIBUR IV!!!!!!!
Ok, last round of shots. Two weekends ago, my brother Patrick came down from NB to visit/go to see Joel Plaskett. We got pretty jimmied and enjoyed the show. Here are the last of the shots for this update...
Ok so that's the first section of the retro post. I'm not sure when I'll get the other one up, because I'm not sure if I'm going to do it in conjunction with the pics from tonight, or if I'll wait till next week sometime. Otherwise, you can check out the pics from Danielle's and my adventure last night at the buskers in my last post. I MADE IT LAST NIGHT. Two posts in 24 hours.
GFY,
Tony I
