WOOOOT!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Hey hey, it's the pre-Christmas funtime-awesome post. Very, very grood! I've got quite a bit to type about here, and I've got some pictures to throw up from the adventures with Cartmill on the Friday that just passed (22nd). I'm pretty stoked!

[Edit: this suddenly turned into the total holiday update. WOOP. I'm putting new years photos up too!]

So, it's about 2:30am right now, and I've decided that it was time to make a post, regardless of how tired I've become. Oh well, I like posting, and it's not really all that much work for me to type. I just finished playing some Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory which is a seriously difficult game to play. I do, however, enjoy the whole spy/espionage/going through whole levels not being seen aspect of the game, which is what I suppose is why it's taking me so long to beat this game. I think I bought it... close to a year and a half ago, and I'm just starting to get close to the end. It doesn't help that I put it down for an extended period of time, but whatever. I'm glad I'm playing now. That was a long paragraph.

So, for those of you who aren't really paying attention, Christmas is upon us once again (It always seems to come around this time of year. Odd.). This year has, however, been a bit of a whirlwind time of rushing around, and also has had some surprises; for example, Tim randomly came home for Christmas. It's been a bit of fun since he's been here. We've had many a drink, and some laughs and cigars. I'm glad to have him around, and it's good to see him on an upswing. I really should make my way up there sometime soon. Hrumph. I said it.

In addition to the rush of having other people in the house, I've only just recently just finished wrapping most of my presents. I still have to tackle my moms stereo system. The box is huge. I love having a reason to do some serious procrastination. my wrap-job will be cheap and sloppy at best tonight. I accidentally misspelled best as "beast", and it reminded me of an episode of "Family Matters" where it's Carl's birthday and someone gives him a card that says "you're the beast". It made me laugh. I am weird.

My mom's friend Cheryl and her son Jordan came over this evening, which was fun. Jordan is quite the kid. Anyway, they gave Danielle and I the
'Cranium' board game. I'm pretty stoked to give it a whirl. I bet that game is fun when you're hammered. Just like most other things. Haaaaa.

I'm listening to one of Of Montreal's earlier albums (the one before "satanic panic..."), and I'm lovin' it. The album itself is called "Aldhils Arboretum" and, if you get the chance, you should check it out (along with the other albums that they've released since then). There are some pretty catchy tunes on here, and I'm just rockin along while I'm blogging. "Jenifer Louise" is definitely a great track. Ok, enough of that rantage.

I'm really excited for tomorrow; I love Christmas. It's fun just to spend time with family and friends enjoying opening presents and, my favorite part, watching the excitement of everyone opening the gifts that you got them. It's a hoot. I miss how it used to be before my grandmother died though, which I suppose has made me a little melancholy over this whole season. I mean, my whole family on my mom's side would get together at my grandmothers house and we'd just sit there and talk, eat, sing, dance, open presents, and stay up all night. I really miss that, and I think that it's taken some time for me to really come to terms with the fact that it probably won't be like that anymore. I'm not saying that what I have now is worse in comparison. Fuck no, that's not what I'm saying at all; I'm more than grateful for what I've been given. I just miss that aspect of the holidays sometimes.

So wow, it's now 3am. I'm going to have to get on this post.

Ok, so on Friday (the 22nd) Andrew Cartmill made his valiant return to Halifax, and a party was thrown in his honor. It was cool to see friends that I've not seen in a while, and have a few drinks and cut loose. Anyway, I took some photos, so here they are.

Chuck got all dressed up in Andrew MacDonald's security gear and decided to search Omar.

You know what, I'm too tired to finish this. I'll pick it up tomorrow.

WELL, IT'S OBVIOUSLY BEEN A WHILE. I'm resuming this post at 1:15AM on Wednesday January 10th! HAAAA!

Oh well... here are some more pics from that night

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We had some sweet sing-along action... That was funny.

Anyway, by this point in the night, Cartmill was COMPLETELY hammered. I don't think I've ever seen anyone THAT hammered before. He went on a long rant about doing sound in Montreal, then degraded to getting people's attention and then yelling "YeeaaaahGhghg!" It got to the point where his Nova Scotia accent and Montreal accent were doing battle, ending with double-pronounced words. It was more funny than it sounds.

It was awesome

Anyway, that was one hell of a night. Here's a section of Andrew's rant on video...

CLEAN!

Ok, so Christmas was a blast. I got some cool stuff (like both evening with Kevin Smith DVD's, the new Owen LP, nice shirt) and I had a good time with Tim, and Ben. As I was introduced to Guitar Hero on Christmas Day. I was instantly addicted. We were up till like 5:30AM playing.

On Boxing Day, my friends Phil and Bethany dropped by. We hung out for a bit around my house, got some food at Montana's and then hit up the ol Theatre for the new 007 flick. It was alright, but it ended like 500 Billion times.

PICS?

After that, we played some mad poker, and then everybody took off. Good times!

On the 28th, Danielle's Grandmother had her 85th b-day party. I made a giant pot of Chili, and it was delicious. I'll have to do it again. I didn't take any pictures, but it was a lot of fun.

Also, I bought my Nintendo DS on the 28th. It was a pretty good purchase. I borrowed Final Fantasy 3 from Tophe, and I've put some 30 Hours into it since. Now that's a lot of downtime.

I also got mega sick over the break. It started with a cold, and then turned into not being able to talk on the phone... Which happens to be what I do for a living right now. Oh well.

NEW YEAR'S TIME!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so Andrew had A CRAZY party on New Year's eve. We all got dressed up and drank and danced and had great time. Danielle had a brand new dress, which looked great. I dressed up in a suit and tie with a very cool shirt that Danielle picked up for me for Christmas. Everyone else was pretty decked out too. Anyway, here are the very late, very awesome pictures.

Pete took solace in the Laundry room.

So that was New Year's. What a party.

Anyway, all the drinking turned my sickness into some kind of cough, which got really bad so I had to miss some time off of work. Oh well. I'm much better now.

School has started out ok. Although, I do still need to pick up my books. Oh my, things to do, things to do.

Well that ends my post I think. I'm really tired.
GFY,
Tony I
