WELL!
Hi people... I guess it's been a while since I really did anything of note on HERE. But I guess there's always time for an update! YES! How am I you ask??? I'm doing good. Well, mostly. School has been really busy this year. I'm actually doing ok, but just staying at the B to B+ level is stressful. Especially if you only think that you're at that level, because you have no real way of telling what your mark is yet. Last week was a straight-the-fuck-up rape session starting from the week before until the 28th. It was tough. But I guess it was the same for everyone else too. I had to basically plead with my HR prof to let me hand in two assignments one day late, and he was cool with it. Did I mention that these assignments were due on the same day as the midterm? I was pretty happy about that I guess. Oh yeah, I've got an 1800 word essay due... in 1 week + a day. Go me. I know what I'LL be doing Saturday afternoon...
Then there was the finance. It was pretty rough, but I think I did pretty good on it. I guess I'll have to see what the deal is sometime next week when they hand everything back. I've been doing an assignment for the last few hours, but I'm tired of it, and I'll probably finish it (half assed) tomorrow. Yes.
Poetry is a fun class. I'm having fun awaiting the class where I can bring in some Kinsella lyrics. It'll be fun and what not. Sean says that Dr. Seaman thought they were good. I'm stoked.
Work was a little slow last week, and the previous 2 weeks. My pay suffered a bit from that, but whatever. I'm supplementing that somehow... hahahaha. Ebay rules. Too bad I missed the boat on those Hillary Duff tix... that could have been some GOOOD $$$$$.
Danielle and I are doing well, which is ALWAYS a good thing. I'm always excited to see her, especially after a lonnnnnng day. It feels awesome to just lay around and talk with her for hours. Fun Fun Fun. I wish she was here right now. Oh well, I suppose it's one less distraction from this lengthly entry. We've been together for 16 months! That's a rather long time!
Other than ALL that, I've been practicing the ol' drummery-doos, because Chuck, Omar and I are going to jam sometime in the future. I'm stoked. I really like the music that they made, but it REALLY sucks that Steve is going! I can't believe it at all. I can say that I'm going to miss the guy tonnes. You better come visit.. or we'll have to make a road trip or something. It'll be WELL worth I think. I'm stoked on the Harris-Via-Webcam idea. I think it'll work out for some very funny moments. But that's not for a few more weeks.
Well... On Thanksgiving (a LOOOOOOONG while ago) I had a partayyyy. It was pretty fun. At least for everyone else. I was pretty (very) sick. I spent a lot of the time napping or being barely coherent as I was cleaning things up. Baah. The best was towards the end of the night when Steve and Chris were peaking out. Steve was yelling and seriously resisting playing songs on my guitar. AND Chris was just fighting Steve. Or trying to. He was wayyyy too drunk, and covered with wine that he didn't spill. Seriously. How weird is that? Pretty fucking weird. The next day I just slept and felt like shit all day. How fun! Oh yeah, Josh was Slamper-dammed. I think the quote went "I haven't seen him this drunk since grade 8." Wow.
The next weekend, we got together at Sean's place for some beers and whatnot. It was a pretty good time. We listened to some music, talked, and I took some pictures... HERE THEY ARE!!!!
I like this one of Sean and Omar dancing...
Yeah, that's a crotch shot. Paul was pretty funny that night. He insisted on "stealing" Tostitos. He LOOOOOVEEEES Smugglers. I stayed at Danielle's that night too, which was super fun. We stayed up really late talking, which was cleeeeeean.
Between that week and Halloween was the rape of school and few hang-outs at Steve's place, or just outside at random. It was pretty fun. Also, Danielle and I saw "Stay", which was a pretty cool/fucked up movie. They story is really messed, but it all comes together in the end, so long as you pay attention to what's going on.
***Danielle comes into my room, kisses me***
***3 Hours Later***
Well, I was glad to see her. I was waiting all day for that. I also talked on the phone with Tim, which was really awesome. I haven't talked to him in a while. Also in other news, I got my new Jimmy Eat World stuff today. I got the "Singles" Album, which is a collection on all their early 7" (I'm watching a few on ebay), and the new EP. I'm pretty stoked. This "Singles" one is pretty cool. It's cool to hear where they really started from and then compare to where they've come to after many years.
Ok, so back to making the post...
On Saturday, we went to the party in Halifax. It was pretty nuts. I had a pretty sweet costume. I went as "trailer trash". Chris, Jess, Paul, Danielle, and I showed up before anyone else did, and we just kind of hung around. I started playing the drums, and then the rest of the crew showed up. Paul was playing some pretty ridiculous metal drums. I kept laughing and laughing at it. Anyway, after everyone had a few beers and such, I played a couple of covers with random people (I was still drumming) then Steve and Jeff's band took the floor. They sounded super tight, and Steve looked pretty cool in his costume. Then The Apex Beat played, and it was fantastic. I enjoyed watching that set a whole lot. Everything started to get blended together after that point, turning into a drunken messy time. Chris Lampier poured beer all over me, but I got my revenge by ruining a cig of his. HAAAAA! Yeah. I waited in the rain from 2:30 till 2:30 (time change) for a cab for myself and Danielle, but I ended up getting one from a different company by flagging it down. Danielle stayed at my house in my bed, which was nice cause I was cold from all the waiting. I bring you pictures... (the first one is a random pic of Danielle sleeping cuddled up to my bass)
This one is pretty cool...
Yeah, Paul was pretty hammered by the end of the night. Him and Lampier were fighting a lot upstairs. I think I yelled NASCAR too much. Oh well. I think I took some pretty cool pictures of the band. I hate to toot my own horn, but that's the deal.
So I guess I'm going to wrap this up. I really should be going to bed soon. Oh well. I have school tomorrow as usual, and work on Friday. BUT!!! Friday night is the Apex Beat show at the Khyber, so bring your mamma and her wallet. That's right, bitches. Maybe we'll regroup here or something after the show???? Who knows. Anyway, I'm done for the night.
GFY,
Tony I
Song of the day : "Ramina" and "Opener"- Jimmy Eat World
Quote of the day : "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUURGH! Happy Halloween! I thought he was going to hit me with a bottle... spare some change??" - The CRAZY homeless black guy that usually hangs out outside of the Clyde St. liquor store while jumping out of the bushes at Chris, Jess, Paul, Danielle and I. FUCK he scared the shit out of us. It was hilarious though.
Picture of the day, titled: "Look how drunk I look!!!"
That's it! Have fun using new display pics!
