Woop-de-fuckin'-DOO!
Ok, So it's been quite a while since I updated this poor, oft ignored blog. I know I've been in the process of thinking about finally putting up some photos, but through most of May I was pretty busy. There's really not much of an excuse for June. Except that I was lazy... So maybe I'll go with that one. Either way you might want to sit back and let this one load. There's 134 pictures in this post. That's a lot. This post isn't safe for 56K modems.
So, I guess I'll start off with the big news (although I'm sure most of you are fully aware of what I'm going to write, I'm going to write about it anyway): Danielle and I finally moved into our place in May! It's absolutely AWESOME! The place is really nice, and we're almost finished getting things set up. We really need to decorate though, the walls are looking kind of bare (except for Bowie, of course). For those who haven't seen it, here's a little photo-tour of the new digs.
This is the living room...
The entrance...
Kitchen table...
Bathroom 1...
Bathroom 2...
Closet in the bedroom...
Bed...
Balcony off the bedroom...
Anyway, there's another bedroom and another balcony that I didn't take photos of, but that's just because I'm too lazy. However, the TV in the living room has changed. It looks like this now:
Mmmm. Danielle and I picked up that badboy last week. It's pretty awesome. It's got all of the hook-ups needed (2x component video, 2x HDMI inputs, antenna, s-video) to get the most out of my videogames and what not. AND WE CAN ACTUALLY WATCH TV ON IT!!!! There's no more need to hook up all kinds of retarded cables to get the thing to work. YES! And widescreen videogames? Yes. We also got a DVD surround sound system that up-scales DVDs to full HD resolution. MMMMMM. I don't think astroboy will ever look better (I haven't actually checked this out).
Anyway, aside from all of that stuff, Danielle and I are doing well. We kind of work opposite shifts, so we really only get to see each other in the morning before she leaves, and at night after I get home from work, but we usually get most of the weekend to hang out as well. I'm so glad that we're living together. It just feels good, and it's fun and awesome and I wouldn't change it.
Speaking of Danielle, as of this Sunday, we will have been "together" for THREE years. It really doesn't feel like it though. However, Danielle is leaving on a little road trip with her family on Saturday, so I'm going to have to pull something out of my ass a few days early. :p
Ok, so I've got a lot to cover... let's try and do this chronologically. April brought Danielle's birthday, and a trip to Montana's. Conveniently enough, when we went it was all you can eat ribs night. Christophe and I had our fill. Danielle got some cool presents, and I took some hilarious photos (which naturally include the fucking moose hat).
I laugh so hard at this one every time I see it.
So that was a blast. When isn't it though? After exams wrapped up, my mom and my sister went away for a few days. I decided that since the weather was going to be nice, I was going to have a BBQ. I didn't get many pictures, as we had a little bit of an emergency with Brody, but it was indeed a good time.
About a week after that, Tim came down from NB before he left for BC. We hung out, talked, and we saw Spiderman 3 in IMAX. It was pretty good. That night, before we hit up the movie, we got to see Alice before she left for her trip. We went to the Shoe Shop, where Chuck got the infamous half order of nachos, and some stellar service....
A day or two later, Tim had a bunch of his friends over (and I did the same) for a good bye/birthday/last party at home (for me). It was a really good time. Many libations were enjoyed AND we got to see Josh-Josh who was down on vacation. I took a lot of pictures at this little shin-dig, so here they are:
SCATTER!
Tim took some b-day shots that eventually disabled him.
The little guy... all healed up.
The world's fastest Shrew...
So like I said before, I've been pretty busy since moving in. I mean, there's all the work that goes with it, and then there's also the whole enjoyment of living in the city. The proximity to things is fantastic; We're close to downtown, and friends houses, school, groceries, and the like. It's nice. After the first week of being moved in, Danielle and I went out with the crew from Golden for a few drinks. It was a good time. I took some photos, so take a look!
I searched long and hard, but I realized that we didn't take any photos of the house warming party that we had. Although I would say that my birthday bash was a little more of a party. There was much less television. Haha. I got pretty tanked, and we made a little too much noise outside, but that's cool. We had a really good time anyway. Sean made me a really awesome cake. I TOOK PICTURES!
Danielle took this picture. It's hilarious because everybody is being the "stereotypical" version of themselves.
After I hit a nice and drunk point, I decided to remove the stomach on the cake.
So that was my birthday blast.
The final set of photos come from this weekend past. I was feeling pretty crappy on Friday, but I went to work anyway. It was the same story on Saturday, but my Dad came down from NB so we went out to lunch with him. We hung out and talked, and he got to see the place, which was fun. After that, Danielle and I gut ready and headed over to Christophe's prom. There were sooooooooo many people there. It was so fucking hot. After taking some photos, I grabbed a beer with Chris in the bar, and then I ran into Dave K, which was awesome. Anyway, here are a few snapshots...
StatsCan what-what! (Danielle's friend Alison, who is also my co-worker, who was Tophe's date)
After that, It was off to the COTTAGE BEER BLAST! Danielle and I loaded up the car, and hit the road for Jeff's cottage. When we got there, people were already pretty much in the bag, but it was cool. I had my fill of delicious beers, and enjoyed the party. Pictures were taken...
Steve was pretty sober when we got there....
Chuck on the Dock
The dog who didn't care unless you were Jeff, or a hotdog.
Paul ate some paper plates.
This one just looks cool...
Anyway, that's all of the photographs that I should have put up over the last few months. But at least it's now done. So this weekend is going to be interesting. I'm going to be around, probably missing Danielle. So, I'm going to need some company on Canada Day. We'll figure that out sometime soon. I've grown tired of the typing. I'm done.
GFY,
Tony I
