Happy Birthday BLOG!!!!!!!
That's right, my blog turned 3 years old yesterday. I was going to make a "best of the year" post, but I think I'll save that for the end of the year. Anyway, this post is short and sweet, like they used to be. Haha.
I guess I'll get started here... My job hunt is over, and starting in October I'll be back at Statistics Canada. Woop Woop! I liked working there before, and I know I'll enjoy going back. Plus, the money is pretty good. :)
School has been pretty rape this semester. The first month isn't even over yet. Fuck. I have so much homework to do. This is probably more fun. Ooh, I think my laundry is calling my name too. Haha.
On Friday, Danielle and I went to hang out with the peeps at Mike, Steve, and Paul's place in Halifax. We got pretty loaded on some delicious, nutritious faxe. There was some routing and a trip to a pizza joint. What a night. Danielle and I took the bus home and she stayed the night at my house. It was fun. Here are some pics.
Yeah, that was that.
Last night, IT WAS THE STONES CONCERT!!!! Woot. It was piss pouring rain all night, so I only grabbed a few shots before Danielle and I went deeper into the crowd. We were about 20 rows from the main stage, and 5 from the extendo-stage when it rolled through the crowd. Sloan played a shitty set consisting of mostly new material. Alice Cooper was crazy and weird and loud. Kanye West was awesome; He was really pumped for the show regardless of the fact that he was getting soaked just like the rest of the crowd. His string and vocals section was bang on, as was his DJ. The Stones were awesome too. I'm not really feeling all that good, so ask me about it and I'll give a description in full detail. Standing for seven hours in the rain made me feel pretty sick, so I'm going to wrap this up now.
Yup, what fun that was!
I have a lot of work to get onto, so I guess I'm off for now.
GFY,
Tony I

It's been 3 full months since I last updated. FUCK YOU!!!!
This post is going to be MASSIVE. I'm not even joking at all. It took me a little over 3 hours just to resize and post the photos to the internet. I've got photos from nine different photo sets, which means there are a lot of them...
HOLY FUCK!
There are 179(EDIT: I'm adding photos from the Dinosaur Jr. show and a random night of drinking at Mike/Steve/Paul's, so we're looking at 217 pics) photos in this post, so I suggest you sit back and let everything load in its own time. The approx. file size of the photos in this post runs somewhere along 23 MB. I'm a nerd!
So where do I start then?? Well, I got myself a laptop! That's right! I'm actually updating this damn thing from my dining room (I love wireless internet), which is pretty cool I guess. The computer is a Dell Inspiron 6400 with a 2.4 GHz Dual core processor, 1 GB of ram, 120 GB hard drive, 15.4" XVGA Tru-Life Widescreen Monitor, and a 256 video card. It came with media center, which means I can record live TV and all of that jazz. It's a nice computer, and it's fast to boot. I'm glad I've got it for school. And watching DVDs in my room. Haha. Here's what it looks like...
As you can see from the photos, I'm adding this section while I update. Isn't that neat. Yeah, I'm a big dork.
I guess I'm pretty much finished up at golden now; I haven't really worked at all in 2 weeks. It's cool not to have to get up early, but I don't have any money coming in, so until I'm working again I have to curb my spending quite a bit. And that is always fun.... not really.
I can't believe that summer is finally running down. I think I've got like 3 days until I have to go back to classes. I am looking forward to going back though, because I love just going to school and learning; it's kind of fun to me. I'm only going to school 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for both the fall and winter semesters. It'll give me the opportunity to get work done (like last time) and work a job on a solid schedule. I'm pretty happy about that.
So, maybe it's about time for me to get started on posting all of these photos that are piled up on photobucket...
I'll go in chronological order I think, so I'm going to start from July 2nd, which was the Joel Plaskett show at Alderney Landing. The show itself was crappy except for the Plaskett bit, and I grabbed some good photos. I liked the show because we were able to kind of gauge how the NOFX show (which was more than a month away at the time) was probably going to go. Anyway, long story short, it was fun. Here are the photos that I liked the best.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd that was the show. COO-L!
Obviously my short term memory has been slightly affected by stuff, so I don't think I'm going to writing TOO much about stuff I didn't document. BUT I will say that I had loads of fun, even though there were no cameras present at all of the random hangouts at Steve's, and around town. So there.
(cold tea w/ milk is gross)
The next thing on the chopping block is the Wilco show. IT KICKED ASSSSS!!! The drummer absolutely blew me away, as did the rest of the band. We knew one of the security guards, which was cool, because it helped us secure a set-list from the stage. Take that! Woo! If I had it handy, I'd take a photo of it, but it's at Danielle's place. Nuts. Oh well, here are the photos that turned out ok...
Yeah, so that was awesome. I ended up buying a t-shirt, which I think makes an appearance somewhere in this post. Keep ya eyes open for it.
Later in July, Danielle and I decided that it would be fun to take a road trip to the zoo in Aylesford. It was a kick ass time. In these photos, I'm just starting to get my beard growing, so I think I look kind of funny. Yeah. Looks like. At the zoo there were these howling monkeys that were just wailing. It was hilarious. Of course, my favorite animals were the little goat guys that were running around. Take a look at what we saw!!!
ANNND because Danielle and I are both SO cool...
After that adventure, we went to a little family restaurant which was nice, and then we went to see a movie. I don't remember which one, but that's fine. We pretty much saw everything that had a run locally. Fuck that is a lot of movies. WOAH.
Anyway, soon after that adventure, Danielle's dad made quite the purchase. He bought a BOAT!!!!! It's pretty cool, and a day or two after he bought it, we went for a little cruise (after we went to the beach the day before). Here's what I got of all that fun...
Yeah, it gets pretty windy out on the water. Like, really windy.
Anyway, a little over week later, Omar, Chuck, and myself hit up the recording studio to lay down some tracks for Mike Fox's movie, "entherance online". We were in there for 8 hours, and it was a shitload of fun. Speaking of which, Chuck you should ask me for that CD, it's in Danielle's car. Haha.
The next set of photos I've got are from the NOFX show. The show was awesome! I got SUPER hammered before hand, which was funny because it was at Danielle's place. I put back 5 beer in an hour before we left and consumed much more while at the concert. I didn't really care much for any of the other acts, but I was having too much fun running into people I knew to even care what was going on. Anyway, NOFX played well, and they played some classics which caused us to get asked to stop moshing in the beer tent. It was pretty funny. I loved how many people there were. Here are the photos from that night.
A few days later, we went to Mike Fox's movie premier at Park Lane Cinemas. It was a fun time. It was great to see the movie in its entirety. I only had a rough idea how it was going to go, seeing as how I had a limited role in the movie as well as the soundtrack. Mike is hopefully planning a second screening, so hopefully if you missed it you can check it out. It was a great movie. Here are some pictures from the after party (which we snuck Dan Rodgers into)...
In August, Golden gave Danielle and I a shitload of time off. This was cool at first, but it got annoying as it started to wear down to no work at all... Sigh... before the annoying no work, we were given the day after the movie premier off (Friday), so Danielle and I got up early and headed out to the boat with her parents for a cruise around and some fishing. The only thing I caught was these photos. I'm so funny.
I want to drive a boat around. All the time.
The day after out boat excursion, we headed to Bobby Shrew's "cottage" (aka: piece of land) in Locharbor (spelling?). We left Bedford around 5 in two separate cars and took off on our way. We made a quick and unsatisfying stop at KFC for supper, where we loudly ate and then loudy left the restaurant. Then it was just a short booze cruise down to New Glasgow to get some beers (Danielle says I should be less specific, but I don't think it really matters. She's kind of stinky anyway...) for Chris, Jason, and Andrew. Then, after a wrong right turn at the "only set of lights on the transcanada highway", we finally made it to the piece of land. Many drinks were had and the like, and in the end it was an awesome night. Anyway, I took some pictures and I suppose I should finally put these up.
The next day, we headed home, but we stopped for lunch at the subway in Antigonish. (after a pseudo right turn) After we ate, we were standing in the parking lot, and this total douche-bag drove past us (quite easily) and then stopped, rolled down his window, and then said "Would you get the fuck off of the road?". Paul's repsonse of "Uhh, no." was fantastic. What a fucking ass crotch. And that's it. Well, for this section anyway.
The following weekend, Sean had people over to his place. After picking up people in Bedford, we grabbed Alice and met Sean (who shouldn't have had to drive out at all it seems) at the superstore with Paul. Then, we hauled ass back to Sean's place in Colby. It was a blast to say the least. Here are some pics...
Of course, Dan busted out some kick ass dance moves, as did Chuck...
It was a pretty awesome night! I hope everyone had fun. I sure as hell did.
After that, there were several hangouts at random throughout the week, which were all a blast. Most of the time we ended up hanging out at Mike, Steve, and Paul's place in Halifax, but we had a few random adventures to Point Pleasant Park, and Bum park too. Haha.
Last weekend, Danielle and I hit up Dollar Lake for our annual camping trip. It was a shitload of fun. We got there and set up out tent and stuff, and then we went over to see the church group that happened to be there at the same time. We hung out for a bit, and then it was back to the campsite for supper, cards, and making a giant fire. We made smores, and to cap the night of, we watched some episodes of Full House and Fresh Prince (Yes, I brought my lappy out there). Here are some pictures.
And, of course, I defaced some public property. Haha...
And that was the camping trip. I think a bunch of us should get a group site sometime next summer. It'll be a blast.
Monday brought the Dinosaur Jr. show, which was pretty awesome. They played for quite a while, and it was FUCKING LOUD!!!! I had to cover my ears every time J Mascus played a solo. Oh well, the show was pretty cool. Pics?? Yes, I've got some.
I bought a shirt, but It's not all that visible in the following pictures from Mike, Steve, and Paul's. (coming up!)
Yesterday, Danielle, Chuck, and I took a trip over to MSVU to check out the campus and take care of some other stuff. It was a pretty good time, Chuck was on the ball all afternoon, but the best was when he had Paul on his speakerphone randomly yelling the Universal Greeting. It was ridiculous. Afterwards, we headed home for a bit, and then we went down to the LC and had some drinks at my place while we looked at photos and waited for Omar.
Then, we headed over to Mike, Steve, and Paul's place to drink. Chuck was HAMMERED and it was awesome. The neighbours came over (Omar has balls) to hang out for a bit, and we ended up smoking a bit in Steve's room. Chuck led a rant and a half about our circle of friends, and the decided to go be more of an ass to people. It was a hoot. Danielle and I left around 12 to catch the bus while Omar and a very not sober Chuck went to do a little mixing of their album. Anyway, I took some pictures.
Once we got back to Bedford, Danielle and I went to Tim's to get a bagel and sober up a bit. Then it was back to my house for the night. It's good to fall asleep with Danielle. I can't wait till May!!!!
So, I guess that's it. I'm all done. In retrospect, I should update more often because this too WAY to fucking long. Oh well. I hope you all enjoy this post and the photos.
GFY,
