*EDIT ON QUESTION #38*

Ok, just a short rant to supplement my post from the other day...

Work today was fucking sloppy. Just sloppy. I got in there and there were CD's, Cases, and customers everywhere. This is the usual. As Cory and I started to put stuff away, shit kept hitting the fan; for example, an old lady came in and was bitching about our classical section. But that wasn't the worst part; At one point, both of the computers decided to just fuck off on Cory and I. It turned out to be the modems power supply was fried. We smashed it open and fixed it. Things are running smoothly, that is, until the place burns down.

Before work was good though. Danielle came to visit me, and stayed for a while. We took a very nice nap. It was fun. We hung out after work, which was fun, especially the Boy Meets World.

I'm done. Following this entry is a survey stolen from people.
GFY,
Tony I

So, since it's the holidays, I've decided that I'm just going to update when ever I feel it need be. I'll just do a quick update for now. Eventually I'll start posting things of value, or, maybe not. Who knows? Not me.

I'm done exams, and it feels good. It only took me about, oh I don't know, a year and half to figure something out though. If I found 3 MEASLY hours a week to read, my life around exam time would be somewhere around a bazillion (or maybe quadrazillion) times easier than if I read very little, or in most cases, not at all. I guess it's just one of those things you never really realize until it's too late, or, maybe when you're really tired and/or stressed from studying. So, in short, lesson learned.

So, other than that, life has been un-stressful. Well, was, up until last night around 10 or so, but I'll explain that later. I got pretty jimmied after the exam. I drank quite a bit, and had a blast, but not having seen Danielle for 2 days, I was lacking something as well. I was really tired/jimjammed when I got home, so I didn't get to say much to her on the phone, which kinda blew. I eventually got to see her on Saturday night after work which was alright, and we talked and stuff. We were both really tired.

On Sunday, Danielle and I hung out all day long. We went to lunch, and then to chapters. I picked up her brothers Christmas gift, but I'm not going to say what it is, just in case the sneaky bastard is reading this thing. Zing.

Speaking of shopping (and also, I'm going WAY off topic here), I'm almost all done. I got my sister her Christmas and birthday presents, and both of my brothers are now shopped for. I got my mom a bunch of Rod Stewart shit, and in turn, she'll probably crap her pants when she gets it. I also got Danielle's gift, but she doesn't have a sweet clue what it'll be. I still have to get the rest of it, but that'll come later next week. I'm cutting it close with some of it, but I'll pull through, mostly because I'm awesome... and cocky.

Back to Sunday...

After we got back from our Bayers Lake adventure, we watched some one hit wonders and some football. It was fun. We then went to grab some grubbard and to church. I made fun of Danielle's mom, which was pretty funny. I said something about being jimmied and made light of her height by bending if hilarious ways. I'm really stupid like that. After church, some guitar was played, and then Danielle, Christophe, and myself watched High Fidelity. It was great, even for the millionth time. Spinach Pizza was had.

I got a call from my manager around 10 or so (previously mentioned) and was told that I had to go to work today (Monday) for 1, a mere 4 hours earlier than I was supposed to. This was because his grandmother passed away, and I had to go cover for him. I feel pretty bad for him, I know what he's going through and it sucks huge balls. The sad thing is that he, just like myself (and I learned tonight, Stewart), will spend his time helping those more immediately effected by this (ie parents, aunts, uncles)than himself, and when it's all over, go into a phase of being upset for a week or two after the whole ordeal sets in. It's not fun, and I would not wish it upon anyone.

For the rest of the night, Danielle and I hung out in her room and talked about. She's my favorite. I like talking late on the phone.

So, what did I do today? I went into work and re-worked out my schedule. I found out that Lloyd wouldn't be going into work on Tuesday, so I had to come in for him again. I didn't mind, but was blown away when I discovered that I would be working a whopping 47.5 hours this week, and I only picked up one and a half shifts. Bonkers man, totally bonkers. I worked with Cory all afternoon, and then from 5:00 until close worked with Stewart, which was pretty fun. He's a cool guy, and he knows a shit load about music. We talked about the beach boys, movies, and a million other things. It made the night go by quick. It'll be a zillion times more fun when Danielle, he, and I work tomorrow, because we just won't shut up. Just don't come ask me for the OC box set, less I ram a CD case into your throat.

After work, I hung out with Danielle. We watched Boy Meets World and talked for a bit, then went to get some food. I love spending time with her, even if it is only for a little bit. Other than that, here I am, posting away while listening to Ben Kweller. My plan for the week is to work from 1:30 or so until Close every day, and spend any time I can hanging out with Danielle, especially tomorrow and Wednesday before work when she has her free. Then I'm going to see the lampshades on Saturday night. It'll be a fun time.

I guess I'm done, so, if you're looking for me between the hours of 1:00 and 10:00 pm, you can almost surely find me at CD plus in the Bedford place mall. So much for the "quick" update. I guess I just get on a roll sometimes.
GFY,
Tony I

Song of the day : "It's About Right Then" - Ghosts and Vodka

Quote of the day : *Sarcastic tone* "That's right, I was out getting jimmied with the nuns!" - Danielle's mom. She said jimmied. I shit myself.

Friday, December 10, 2004

Fuck. This weekend isn't looking like too much fun. Exams and work are all I have to do until Saturday night, when I finally can hang out with Danielle and not worry about school, or work. Barf. I want this to be over.

Aside from that, here is seizure the movie. Enjoy. It hurt my brain.

I'm done for now, I plan on actually posting something valuable on Saturday night, REALLY late.

GFY,

I LOVE updating every 2 weeks.

Ok, so I've been kinda busy with work and school, the ol' blog has taken a bit of a back seat to the deal. I'm only gonna talk about the last week because, well, I'm just too lazy to write a whole lot. I WILL mention that I did sleep at Danielle's last weekend twice, which kicked mega-ultra ass... So much ass, that I'm going again tonight.

So, busy with school you ask? YES. Incredibly. Last week, I had to write a section of a group paper with my Management group. Unfortunately, I didn't really work with them. Fortunately, it worked out well and the paper kicked ass. We present on Wednesday. Am I ready? Yes. Will I choke while in front of the group? Most likely.

Other than that, I spent a bazillon hours on a Marketing project with Chris. There were other people in our group, but we ended up doing almost all of the work. Oh well, it got finished. We presented the same day the paper was due, and I ended up choking a bit while talking. I don't like presentations at all. Not one bit.

Work? I can say these things: 1) People are really dumb, especially since they can't seem to tell the difference between white and tan price tags. 2) Midnight Madness brings out all the idiots. ALL OF THEM.
It was insane at the mall last night. It's really sad that people have nothing to do other than go to a mall on Friday night. Our store had some serious sales. There were people in the store the whole night. It was weird... Mostly because I had to actually do work and help people. Oh well, it was fun in a sick way. I bet people who work in real malls have to do this all the time. I'm glad my mall is only real when it's open until 12.

Other than that, Danielle and I have been hanging out a whole bunch whenever we're not working. She came to see me for lunch on Friday. Last Friday, we got to see The Polar Express in 3D for free.

Speaking of hanging out with Danielle, we went to see James Brown in concert on Thursday. I CRAPPED myself. It was awesome. I was amazed by how that guy can move. He has to be some kind of robot. With soul. Woah. Mind blowing.

The band was crazy, there were two bassests, two drummers, an auxiliary percussionist, three guitarists, three back up singers, a tenor sax player, alto sax player, and a kick ass trumpeter. They were super tight, and the tenor sax guy played some serious face-and-ear-melting solos. It was great.

Oh yes. There was James Brown. He was nuts. A non-sensical, screaming and dancing machine. He cleaned up on stage. It was great. I thoroughly enjoyed my self. Plus, there was a bunch of pimps there, so I felt right at home. What? I actually typed Here are some pictures, the previous sentence was a clever bit of computer code that is an optical illusion. Pictures? Ok, I'll post them.

They were taken from far away, so if you want to know which one was James Brown, look for the blurry guy in a red suit with REALLY white teeth.

And what a party that was.

I went to breakfast with Danielle and her cousint (not a mistake), brother, and father this morning. It was pretty funny. I worked all day too. Now, I'm going to do some laundry, catch a nap, and try and get something organized with Josh for tomorrow afternoons Accounting Case 2 kick-off party. Drumming sounds like an attractive option as well. Ok, I'm done here.
GFY,
Tony I

OH! Before I do the finishing stuff, check this out and try and not shit yourself.
Banana Guard
It's really funny.

Quote of the day : "Shake it like a Polaroid baby." - Christophe, Danielle's brother.

Saturday, November 13, 2004

Ok, it HAS been a while. Oh well. My post today will consist of the transpirings of Pop-explosion weekend and the week leading up to today. What fun!

Ok, I'll give my run down of Friday. I basically did nothing but hang out with Danielle until I had to work in the evening. It was good. I love her a lot. Then I went to work. I worked with Cory, which is always fun. We talked about all kinds of different stuff, and I think we had a 20-30 minute conversation about nachos and pizza. It was pretty funny. After work, I headed into Halifax to meet up with my manager Lloyd, who gave me his pass for the show that evening. It alright, except I had to get dropped off at the marquee around 9. I should have gone to Dave K's. I didn't think of that until now. I'm stupid.

Anyway, around 10ish, Dave and Steve showed up. I got beers and we waited for The Holy Shroud to start playing. I didn't know what to expect, because I didn't remember what they sounded like. (I think we played a show with an early incaration of the band, because I remember the drummer being the same guy, same with the bassest.) Needless to say, I enjoyed their set immensely. They had a ton of energy and their songs were really interesting to listen to. They had a hard edge to them, which was interesting to hear. I'm definitely going to see them the next time they play. Boo-yeah. I took a bunch of pics too... and here they are...

After those guys, Wax Mannequin started playing. It was pretty funny. He was by himself accompanied by a drum machine that looked quite similar to Paul's. He had a raw rock kind of sound to his voice and his guitar was simple, but it still ruled. He broke his pick during his set and eventually bloodied up his fingers. I got up front and handed him a pick. Then I took some pictures.

After him, The Organ came on. I was mostly excited to see this act, because I'd not heard much of any of the other bands other than them. They sounded ok at best with their live sound, and they had zero stage presence. But I still enjoyed most of the show, at least what I saw. When I took these pics, I started out in the front of the stage and then I moved back to meet up with the peeps once they showed up. If you want to experience the live show, simply put in The Organ CD and look at these pictures, because they stayed in the same place the whole show. Here are the pics.

That was The Organ.

Finally, The Arcade Fire took the stage. And I was blown away. They rocked my socks off with their sound and their variety of instruments. They had a wicked show, and every member of the band was involved. Their opening song, "Wake Up", was really awesome. I thought that they had a had a bit of a flaming lips kind of feel to them. It was thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't get any good pictures of them because I was so far back, but in the ones I got, you'll see one of the members of the band looks A LOT like Bobby Shrew. Just get really close and stare. You'll see.

After the show, we went to McDonald's. It was really funny cause Chris Lampier was fucking hammered. I don't think I'd ever seen him that drunk. After that, we headed to Dave McMichael's place to chill. I got home at 5 something. What a night.

On Saturday, Danielle came to see me before she went to work. That made me happy. I slept for most of the afternoon, and then headed over to the mall to meet Danielle for supper. Even though it was the only time I got to see her all of Saturday, I was really happy to go and see her.

After that, I caught the bus to shrews for a pre-drink and chill. It was fun. We got jimmied and shimmied and watched tv and argued about James Bond. Eventually, after I had finished 8 beer, we headed down to the show via Sean Casey. Gary Flannigan was awesome. Just awesome. He opened up his set pledging allegiance to the God of New Wave. Then the magic just flowed. Hahaha. He had everyone moving. It was nuts. I took a billion pictures, but I've only got a few to post.

Hopefully the Gary Flannigan dance party happens.

So, on Sunday, I hung out with Danielle all day. It was awesome. We hung out at her house, and napped. Then we went to see Alfie, which was a good movie. It was funny and smart, which makes for a good movie, but of course it was no original. Oh well, when is it ever. Then we went back to Danielle's to watch Boy Meets World. That show rules. It was definitely a good day.

On Monday, I went to school and started working on my Accounting assignment that was due later that week. I hung out with Danielle all evening, which was awesome. We hung out here, then went to the mall with my brother and his friend. This was at 7:00 or so, and they were planning on waiting there all night so that they could get Halo 2 first. I was planning on letting them wait there all night and meeting up with them at the front of the line so that I could get it first too. Suckers.
After we went to the mall to drop off those guys, Danielle and I hung out at her house. It was great. Around 11, I met up with my brother and waited for about an hour to get Halo 2.

Tuesday... Waiting was a good idea. We stayed up playing the game all night. I eventually pried myself away from the screen and went to bed around 4. Danielle came over in the morning, which was awesome. We hung out and then we went to get lunch and then she drove me to school. It was kick-ass. After school, she came over for a bit, then left to go see a movie with Alison (with one 'l'). Then I worked on my accounting assignment, played halo 2, and then worked on my accounting assignment some more. Danielle came by after the movie to hang out with me some more. It was clean. We stayed up on the phone until really late, which was also interesting. I had to get up for school at 6:15, but what ev's.

I went to school and then to work on Wednesday. It was ok, but I was really tired. Danielle came by near the end of the night to hang out with me. After all the closing was done, we swung by my house to get some stuff because I was going to stay the night at her place. Good times. Twice the fun as any other night.

On Thursday, Danielle and I went to the remembrance day thingy at Fish Hatchery Park. It was cold. Then we went to lunch at Swiss Chalet with her family. It was tasty. But it was in Sackville. I could tell cause the girl who was waiting on seemed to forget that there was an 'h' at the end of the word 'with'. Example: "You want fries wit your chicken?" It was really annoying.
After lunch we went back to Danielle's for a nap. It was a damn good. Then we went to see Ray. I was blown away. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it. I'm going again with Omar on Tuesday, at least I think so.

Yesterday, Danielle came over in the morning to hang out. We did just that, then went out to lunch. After she took off to school, I went to the bank then headed home. I played Halo until about 10-15 minutes AFTER Danielle came over. She was making fun of me and standing behind me for a while. It was pretty funny because she had to say that she was going to work for me to realize that it was her. Oh well, I had no clue what time it was, because she was supposed to call before she came over. That night, I went over to Chris's with Paul, Omar, and Mike D. We played video games all night and got jimmied on faxe. Uuugh. I mean... mmmm.

Today, I'm going to work. Which is why I'm wrapping this up right now. I'm hanging out with Danielle tonight it looks like. There you have your post.
GFY,
Tony I
